[TRASH Verb Released]
Posted on 03/14/2024 04:25 PM CDT by Webstaff

The TRASH verb has been released to assist with your discarding-item needs.

Type TRASH alone to determine if there is a trash receptacle in the room with you.  This could be a trash can, town well, lava tube, dumbwaiter, or other unusual trash mechanic.

TRASH an item in the room with a trash receptacle, and you will throw that item away using the protections of the mechanic (for example, an item may stay in a trash can for up to a minute in case it was inadvertently thrown away.  This saves you the step of needing to identify the trash receptacle.
TRASH an item identified as junk, and you will discard that item even if no trash receptacle is in the room.  You need not be holding junk to discard it.
