How
do I do what this other guy did?
Why not ask the other guy? Most commands in GemStone IV are very intuitive...if
you think you can do it, you probably can. Sometimes the syntax can be difficult
to figure out, although usually it's just what you think it might be. Just ask
the other player how they did that (you might WHISPER to them), or
ask around on the forums to see if anyone
else knows.

How do I put something
in my backpack and take it back out again?
To put something in your backpack, type PUT <item> IN
MY BACKPACK. To get it out again, type GET <item> FROM
MY BACKPACK.
It's very important that you always use MY when putting things away.
If you don't, there's a chance that you'll put your item into a container on
the ground instead of the one on you, thereby losing the item. We cannot replace
items lost in this way, so make certain to pay attention to where you put things.
How do I get deeds?
Deeds are a very important part of GemStone IV. When your character dies,
if they aren't resurrected, they need to have a deed to keep from dying permanently
(two deeds if they die a spirit point death).
However, we can't tell you how to get a deed. This is a puzzle that you'll
need to learn about on your own. Your best bet is to ask help from other characters
in the game, since they'll likely be able to point you in the right direction.
