Co-Worker's Not-So-Candid Quotes
"She watches over her GameHosts like a mother hen, dealing with them honestly and with caring."
"She handles the truly daunting task of supervising every single Gamehost. She knows and cares about each one, and is the person primarily responsible for making sure that they can and do provide assistance to players on a wide variety of issues that don't require Gamemaster intervention, freeing us up to work on actually enhancing the gaming environment."
"Everyone benefits from her work, and the program she supervises is invaluable. Thank you, Meakah!"
"Meakachu is the bestest!!!! She gave me a chance at hosting.. and I give her tons of credit for where I am now. She is a complete sweety, and one of the nicest people you will ever meet."
"A real sweetheart and professional. She has probably the best supervisor to subordinate relationships around. She really cares about her GameHosts individually, and that makes a big difference."
"insert qoute here"
I started playing DR in August of 96, when I rolled up my first character, supposed to be a moonmage, but got lost on the way and found the warmage guild instead. In December of that same year, I rolled up a cleric, and never went back. After playing for about a year and a half, I joined the Mentor Society (back when there were about 20 members), which then led to a short stint as a host (I believe about 2 months before I applied for GM for the heck of it, thinking they would never hire me). In March of 1998, I was hired on as an AGM, mainly to work on the creation of P4, but also joined as part of the cleric team to help out Alnilam in any way possible. I built a few areas in Ratha, as well as Aesry, and my first critter creation was the nasty wir dinego. I moved on in a short stint as Cleric Liaison, before making my way to Assistant Host Supervisor, and am now currently Host Supervisor. I am about to celebrate my 4th year as a GM, and can say that its been a great experience for me.

What did you want to be while you were growing up?
When I was a small child, my first dream was to be an Olympic figure skater, but after breaking my foot in a fall, I decided I wanted to become the first woman in space, which happened before I grew up, so I then decided to become a doctor instead (ah those crazy childhood dreams).
Favorite TV shows?
When I do watch TV, I tend to migrate towards the Discovery Channel or Court TV, watching anything that involves forensics and the like. I did just discover Buffy on FX and am catching up on it (yeah yeah I know am waaay behind), as well as Sex and the City, and Six Feet Under on HBO.
My favorite actor hands down is Harrison Ford, though I do enjoy Russell Crowe, Richard Gere, Tim Robbins, and Denzel Washington. Favorite actresses would be Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon,Sandra Bullock.
Well I am a product of the 80's and enjoy many of the bands of that era, such as Psychedelic Furs, Thompson Twins, & The Cure. Current fave bands include Sugar Ray, Matchbox 20 and Creed. You will also never see me turn down listening to Frank Sinatra either.
I tend to go for the horror or murder mysteries when it comes to reading - my favorites being Stephen King and Dean Koontz for the horror end of it, and Ed McBain for the police detective novels that I just love (87th Precint). I'm currently reading 1 of each (I tend to read several at once...)

I wound up attending Northeastern University in Boston, after turning down an acceptance to premed in Boston College. I studied physical therapy for 2 years before the radio bug hit me, and wound up leaving to go work for a radio station in Boston.
Favorite/least favorite job you've ever had?
My favorite job was working for a Top 40 radio station, answering phones and music assistant. I got to meet several pop stars of that era, including Huey Lewis, Hall & Oates and Duran Duran. I don't really have a least favorite job, as in my adulthood years I have had only 4.... I spent several years not working to raise my child until she was of school age... I did not want to put her in daycare.
Favorite hobbies include bowling, which anyone who knows me, knows they will find me at the bowling alley with my daughter (who is 10 times better than I am). Also, working for DR, and reading.
Italian hands down.... anything involving pasta (as long as it doesn't include seafood).
Favorite board games or computer games?

What would you do with a million dollars?
The first thing I would do would be to pay any outstanding debt and make sure my daughter had enough put away for her college education. With what was left over, I would take a trip on that luxury cruise line I mentioned, and sail around the world to all the exotic ports they cover.

I would definitely want the Beatles (circa 1966).
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I would want the ability to fly. I can only imagine the pure sense of freedom one could experience soaring over the landscape, between clouds, without a care in the world.
And the Zobmondo question:
Be forever homeless, but free to roam the earth...
live the life of luxury in a mansion that you could never leave?
I would definitely rather be forever homeless, but free to roam the earth. To be imprisoned in the life of luxury, unable to leave is not home. Home doesn't necessarily have to be a *place* - one can be at home with oneself, no matter where they put their head down to sleep at night.
