Co-Worker's Not-So-Candid Quotes
"I've known Maece since our playing days while I really enjoyed knowing her as a player, I have come to respect and adore her as a GM so much more--this is where she has truly shone. She's creative, diplomatic, thoughtful, and engaged in making the game fantastic for the players. She's often working closely with newer GMs to help them learn the ropes, too. We are so lucky to have her."
"She's one of the most engaging people I've met. She's always sure to let others know of events and special occasions that they can help out with."
"The hardest working GM on staff."
"Between her devotion to the Mentors, the Paladins and commitment to events, she amazes me. Her plate is always full but she always seems able to shuffle things around to adapt her schedule to suit other people. A definite credit to DragonRealms CE."
"I adore Maece. She's very knowledgable and helpful, and another one of those fun-to-event-with GMs. It's been a pleasure to know her from before and after my hire - she's been equally helpful from both sides."
"Maece has great ideas for the game and is constantly introducing new little tidbits to make our world richer. Her events are always great - she's a party in GM form."
"I've learned a lot from her. She's amazingly patient and wonderful to work with."
"She drags me with her wherever she goes....first to our real jobs, then into DR as a player, then onto staff. That's because she's a strong motivator with a serious and professional work ethic. She's crazy fun, but also knows how to meet a deadline."
"Maece is incredibly talented at making beautiful items that the players just love."
"Heart and SOUL of the paladin team. I couldn't do my work without her help, dedication and creativity."
"Maece's positive, can-do attitude is infectious!"
"Efficient, organized, reliable, loyal and a real workhorse --- all tied up in one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet."
"Maece scares me. Nobody has any business being so close to practically perfect in every way except perhaps Mary Poppins."
I started playing DR in 1996 right before the character baby boom occurred: unlimited AOL. It was my first MUD, and the only reason I joined the Paladin Guild was because my friend couldn't find the Cleric Guild.
By 2001, I was hired for the Mentor Society. About half a year later, I also took on the role of Paladin Guild Liaison. Today, I've given up the role as Mentor Guru but I still help out in order to concentrate on my new roles: Paladin Advocate and ASGM of the Advocate Team.

Without question it would be Loreena McKennitt. I promise I won't fall asleep this time! The first and only time I saw this amazing musician in concert, I managed to fall asleep about three quarters of the way in. But believe me, it's a compliment… it made me so relaxed and peaceful.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I'd want to be able to speak to animals. Ok, maybe not all animals, but all kitties. Why? Because I need to know why the @^%# Tatsu pukes. Then I can tell him to slow the heck down when he eats.
And the Zobmondo question:
Would you rather...
Have a band of mariachi singers follow you everywhere...
Have one determined bagpiper follow you everywhere? ?
Despite my love for celtic music, in this case I'd have to choose a band of mariachi singers for the following reasons:
- You've got your own theme music wherever you go.
- I think someone might be more likely to shoot a single bagpiper.
- If they wanted to shoot the mariachi band, it gives me a head start to get the heck out of Dodge.
- If they succeed in taking out the wall of mariachi singers... Who could resist El Muerto Fez?
