"(I) actually substituted as Judge Judy's clerk a few times."

Spotlight On Staff Home

Co-Worker's Not-So-Candid Quotes

"She may not be as openly visible as other staff members, or you may not hear about the things she has done but she's always there in the background creating works that you see on a daily basis. She's a quiet pillar of stability."

"Anji's acerbic sense of humor and attention to detail contribute daily to a large percentage of new releases into the game. The Rakash are incredibly lucky they have her, because she must be half-Rakash herself. Besides all that, she's one of my best friends and has encouraged me to try things I never would have tried without her pushing. Thanks, Anji!"

"Anji is a talented, creative GM whose spirited nature is only matched by her genuine concern for her coworkers and the players that she serves. She's great fun to work with and you can always trust her to say what's on her mind! Must be the New Yorker in her. :)"

"Anji is almost as cute and lovable as her cats, and it's a shame more people don't know this about her!"

"One of the first things I've come to expect when logging in and saying my greetings to everyone is the inevitable SEND from Anji with a friendly {HUG!}. She's an incredible person and an amazing GM -- if she doesn't have the answer, she either knows where to look to find it or who to talk to for it."

"Anji is a *doll*. Anytime I'm able to be around her, I feel warm and cozy. Love talking to her in game, even if I don't get to very often, and I'll really miss seeing her with the lack-of-Simucon this year."

"Anji is the kind of GameMaster that will always lend a hand no matter what. When we were discussing how to drown someone in chocolate, she felt I was being too kind by only blocking one nostril with a macadamia nut. She wanted both of them blocked."

In early August 2000, I became a GM and have now passed five amazing years working behind the scenes on DragonRealms. I began as part of the Quest team, and designed rooms, treasure and some atmosphere for quests. I have been buried in ice (Corik's Tomb and Village and maze), roasted in the sun (Return to Taisidon and Taisidon's Safari) and seasick while suspended over empty ocean as I built two ships (Cursed). I also clamored so loudly that they let me be Rakash Race Champion, and have developed their language, history, gods, traditions and merchants. A major portion of my 'free' time is spent in quality control work which I hope helps to insure that our players get a properly finished product. I love creating areas and hope that the players enjoy living in them.

Favorite/least favorite job you've ever had?

X-ray vision I think you would need perfect vison to have x-ray vision I wouldn't need my glasses anymore. Besides, looking through some things would be fun.

And the Zobmondo question:

If you had to choose, would you rather be a freelance photographer on the front lines during a war...

Or...

be a firefighter dropped behind the fire-line during a raging forest fire?

The firefighter. I am hoping the survival odds are better. At any rate, I think the adrenaline rush would be greater and the length of time in danger would be shorter. Probably more important is the fact that as a firefighter I would know what I was going to do once there and supposedly how to protect myself while I would be doing a needed service.
