Helping the Community
Posted on 09/11/2015 08:43 PM CDT by Webstaff

Greetings, Elanthians!

From time to time, a member of our community, whether staff or player, reaches out to our family of gaming friends for support or to share a story of a loved one.  Today, we'd like to take a moment to introduce you to the nephew of one of our GemStone IV and DragonRealms players.

Meet Jaxon!  Jaxon was born with several complex congenital heart defects and has already had three open-heart surgeries.  The first came just ten days after being born!

Jaxon's uncle, Donald, will be participating in the Extra Life charity on November 7th to raise money for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) that has done so much to help Jaxon.  You can read more about Extra Life and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals that Extra Life supports.

If you're in a position to help, even if it's just to help spread the word of the charity or to pass on some kind words to the family, your efforts would be appreciated!

In Donald's words, "He is an amazing kid, and I really want to try this year to give something back to the hospital that saved his life."
