Fine-tuned in the smithies of the Understone Kingdoms, the Gearknights made their biggest impact during what would become known as the Sundering War. On those torn and bloodied battlegrounds, the Gearknight's watertight defenses and disruptive artillery wreaked devastation on the armies of the Great Houses. Today Gearknights are the most visible practitioners of widgetry, the "magic" of the Gearsmiths. Their ability to cause chaos and destruction in a fight is only outmatched by their potential to draw and absorb damage that would otherwise cripple their fellow heroes.

Earth Hammer The Gearknight's fist becomes a massive hammer with which he pounds the earth, causing knockback and damage, as well as a good bit of property damage. Magnatron The Gearknight taps into the local aether flows, surrounding himself in a charged field that draws enemies irresistibly to him. Mortar Using his ability to phase objects from the realm of Gear into Elanthia, the Gearknight conjures a mortar tube to devastate enemies at range.
