Gathering of Online Gamers to Meet in St. Louis
Simutronics Announces SimuCon 2002

St. Louis, MO (May 31, 2002) Simutronics Corp (http://www.play.net/), a leader in multi-player Internet games, presents SimuCon 2002, one of the world's largest online gamer conventions. SimuCon will take place at the St. Louis Airport Hilton from June 6-9.

SimuCon 2002 will bring together more than 500 players of Simutronicsâ games from all over the world to enjoy a weekend of events. This year SimuCon has added a dealer's vending area and an art show to the list of activities available, which also includes seminars, office tours, guest speakers, a costume contest on Friday evening, and a fun-filled carnival atmosphere. SimuCon 2002 is the seventh annual gathering of players organized by Simutronics, making it the longest-running convention of its type in the industry.

"It's a testament to the strong sense of community that our players feel in our games," stated David Whatley, President and CEO of Simutronics. "SimuCon gives our players a fun way to meet face-to-face. One year we had a gentleman fly in from Thailand just to meet up with his online friends from GemStone IV. We've also had several famous people who play our games come by, such as the Hollywood actors Ann Hearn and Stephen Tobolowsky, and rock stars such as Eric Bloom, lead singer of the group 'Blue Oyster Cult.'"

This year's seminars will focus on Simutronics' award-winning titles, including GemStone™ III, DragonRealms™, Modus Operandi™, and Hercules and Xena: Alliance of Heroesä. Attendees will be able to voice their opinions on a wide variety of topics, from the future plans for their favorite game, to strategy sessions, to sharing their gaming experiences.

Elonka Dunin, Simutronics' General Manager of Online Community, commented, "SimuCon creates a wonderful atmosphere in which players share in shaping the future of their favorite hobby. We gain valuable feedback from our players during the seminars and have a great time just talking about the games."
