Tips and Tricks
Here we'll impart on you some of the wisdom learned by other players
over the ages, and maybe a few things they don't even know. But
we're not putting it all in here, that would be too easy! If you
go through the rest of the documentation you're sure to find other
little tricks of the trade that are likely to help you through life
in Alliance of Heroes, so be sure to read it!
You might even learn something while you're at it. Is this an underhanded
trick to get you to read up on the game? Maybe... but there are
things to be found if you have the will to look.
- Look at everything! There's no telling what you might
find. You could see a perfectly ordinary-looking statue in the
room description, but if you look AT the statue it could have
an inscription that would lead you on a quest to find things
you never even knew existed.
- All the gods like laurel leaves. If you follow someone
like Aphrodite who is tough to please, this is a cheap and easy
way to get on his/her good side.
- PEERing in Tartarus could mean the
difference between lounging topside in the baths in a few minutes
or taking a dip in the Styx.
- You sure there should be something in a room, but aren't
sure what? Close your eyes and do as the blind and feel
around for it. There's no telling what you might find. You may
just TAP into something you've never seen before.
- Vania always believes in a gift for a gift. Hand her
some dinars and see what you get.
- Tyche's Shrine is a great place for young people to gear
up! Just get DIRections to TYCHE in the
SouthEast (SE) Quadrant of Athens.
- The pawnshop will only pay 1/7 of the value for objects.
If you are selling jewelry you might get a better price from
the gem shop.
- Those boxes you get your treasure from might just be
worth more than what was inside them.
- Keeping rooms clean, especially while hunting, makes
it easier to see items of value you may have missed. Discard
all those sacks and things before you leave a room, you might
have missed emptying one.
- Chat with the NPCs (non-player characters); there's
no telling what one of them might have to say.
