Staff Members

Read carefully, who knows if you might be our next staff member or not! If you had asked me a few years ago if I'd be doing this today, I'd say you were crazy. There are several positions that staff members fill, GameHosts, Assistant GameMasters, GameMasters, and the Product Manager. You may also see them called Hosts, AGMs, GMs, and the PM, respectively.

Mentors
These are technically not staff members, they are player volunteers who give their time to help their fellow players and run mentor sponsored events for their enjoyment. Please keep this in mind when dealing with them, most are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, so be nice!

GameHosts
These are volunteers who help out by serving as the front line respondents to requests for assistance. They know a lot about the game, and they have the ability to help with common problems.

Assistant GameMasters
AGMs assist the GMs (see below). Their primary responsibility is to assist in building and maintaining the game world. They have more technical ability than Hosts, but usually not as much experience as a full GM.

GameMasters
These are the staff members who, with the assistance of the AGMs, build the game world and make it run. All of the rooms and areas you play in were created by a GM or AGM. All of the verbs you use, the monsters you fight, the merchants you shop with, etc., were all created by GMs and AGMs. These are the technical specialists in the game, and have the ability to do just about anything within the game.

Product Manager
This is the "big boss" in the game. The PM is the person who supervises the day-to-day management of the game. This person sets and enforces many of the policies in the game.

Staff members are always happy to help you if they can and if policy allows them to. In some instances, the staff members simply cannot or may not do what you are asking. Staff members may not give you any clues or help solving puzzles in the game. They may not do special favors for anyone. They may not give you money, items, power, or any in-game benefit that has not been authorized by the Product Manager.
